Food Safety in Child Care

Food Safety in Child Care, formerly known as Serving Safe Food in Child Care, is based on the four principles of the Fight BAC© program: Clean, Separate, Cook, and Cool. Developed specifically for child care providers in the CACFP environment, it provides four hours of face-to-face food safety training for foodservice employees in child care. 

Sodium Savvy

Learn how to identify sources of sodium and how to lower the sodium content in school meals as well as your own daily intake in this 1 hour online module!  Excess intakes of sodium have been associated with negative health benefits. 

Confidentiality in Child Nutrition Programs

Information from the application for Free and Reduced price meals or free milk pertaining to the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Special Milk Program, the Summer Food Service Program and the Income Eligibility Form for the Child and Adult Care Food Program must be kept confidential.
